Purpose:
The purpose of this project was to explore and visually represent the complex cultural dynamics between India and Pakistan through a series of collages. By showcasing themes of contact zones, conflict, cooperation, inspiration, and transformation, the project aims to provide a holistic understanding of the historical and contemporary interactions between the two nations. The artwork seeks to foster dialogue and reflection on shared heritage, despite the challenges stemming from their separation over 70 years ago.
Concept:
The concept revolves around creating visually engaging collages that fuse imagery and typography to highlight the rich cultural interactions between India and Pakistan. Each collage represents a specific theme:
Target Audience:
The target audience includes individuals interested in South Asian history, culture, and politics, particularly those aged 18-35. This includes students, activists, and cultural enthusiasts who seek a deeper understanding of the multifaceted relationship between India and Pakistan. Additionally, the project aims to appeal to individuals from both nations who may be curious about their shared heritage and the complexities of their interactions.
